Friday the 9th October is our next sale.
This sale will be run by Mitchells, Cockermouth with James Little doing the selling.

As always the October sale in commercially based- with a real run of beef cow makers in them.
We have 60 RW Simmental heifers for this sale
A lovely run of 40 odd blue roans, plenty of good blacks, a few unique coloured Speckled parks, Shorthorns etc…
We also have a really good top end, some super show quality heifers, many have been shown previously.

There is a real diverse selection of heifers entered for this sale Suitable for all suckler systems, from flush cows to hard working cattle suitaable to work on the hill.
People like top talk to and refer to the high price, heavily muscled cattle that we provide but that is not all Jalex is about, up until 2014 we ran a herd of approx 450 to 500 cows, we understand the job, since leaving school there has been 10,000 calf registration on this farm. We have been thrrough it all.
We appreciate all sort of stock, soft fleshing, square Shorthorns, nicely boned Simmentals, well made, shapely blues and blacks, well coloured, deep bodied roans, we understand not everyone wants the same cow and we do not want to just supply one market.
